Screen flicker

SYMPTOMS

LCD Panel backlight is flickering.

EXPLANATION

We control the brightness of the LCD panels by sending a PWM signal from our main board directly to the LCD panel.

Unfortunately the LCD panels we use, although of the highest quality out there, seem to flicker at certain PWM settings depending on various factors like power supply voltage, temperature etc.

Fortunately it's not really an issue and your hardware is completely fine. Please refer to the solution below to get rid of the flicker.

SOLUTION

• Go to Aviatek Connector / Tools / Settings / Aviatek & Mobiflight Modules.
• Select the affected device from the list.
• On the right you will find a slider to adjust the screen brightness.
• Move the slider a notch to either side until the flicker goes away.
