GCU 475 Not Shown In Aviatek Connector

GCU 475 Connected to the PC but not visible in the Connector


Issue

There is a device out there in the world that uses the same set of VID and PID as our GCU 475 and sometimes Windows assignes their drivers to our device rendering the device not working.


Solution:

  1. Close Aviatek Connector.
  2. Go to Device Manager.
  3. Find an USB device which has Nexus or similar in the name.
  4. Right click and select Update Driver. Don't click Properties!! This causes system to crash..
  5. Choose to select driver manually and select standard USB driver.
  6. Start Aviatek Connector to see if the device now appears correctly in the settings.
